Anyone else find this phrase incredibly condescending?

Starbucks was out of milk #firstworldproblems

To me that reads as Starbucks was out of milk but I shouldn't complain (hehe) because it is nothing compared to starving to death, being shot at in a civil uprising, raped by rebel/loyalist factions, etc.

Let's all agree not to use that anymore.

Whenever I hear this meme used, it's in reference to something that's so trivial it hurts. Things like, "I have a truck, now all my friends expect me to help them move their ****."

I dunno. I always thought that it brought the stupid things that frustrate us into perspective, though I suppose I never extrapolated it out far enough to start feeling sorry for the pygmies in New Guinea.
