Awesome news. Kansas really screwed this situation up royally. And that is good for Kansas State. The population base for the State of Kansas isn't big enough for two top DI football teams, so having Kansas revert back to bottom dwellers in the Big 12 will make KSU's resurgence easier.

I can't stand Mangino, but he's a good coach. Having him out at KU will make things easier for K-State.

Exactly. If Perkins brings in his own coach and they fall to the bottom tier of the Big 12, Perkins will join his coach on the unemployment line. And I'll stop by just to laugh at them. (figuratively speaking, of course).

Perkins threw Mangino under the bus. There are plenty of KU fans who'd volunteer to throw Perkins under a bus, imo.
