Whenever I see someone's weight reported in stones, it gives me a really weird, dissonant feeling of out-of-place chronology. It's like seeing an article in the Wall Street Journal discussing the imminent purchase of a corporation and finding the price expressed in pelts and feathers.

This one's been popping up in fb and such, and I don't understand the issue. Color can mean far more than just ethnicity, so why does this matter at all? I know a lot of colorful people who are white (gasp!).

It's just that the term "people of color" is a pretty widely accepted taxonomy for non-white people.

I'm mad at you, because you just caused whiskey to shoot out of my nose, and if there is one place in the world that whiskey doesn't belong, it's "in my sinuses".

**** you, you hilarious bastard.

Did she actually say that? Everything I've read said that she has been careful not to make any statements about the "church" of scientology during the divorce.

I wasn't able to find any direct quote, but this article does indicate that she has started going to a Catholic church in NYC and that there are very strict restrictions on their daughter Suri being removed from any Scientology related activities. So my best guess is that it's a manufactured quote but based in the reality of what's happening.

Ok cool. I hate to admit it but I've actually been reading up on celebrity crap the past couple of days since I'm confined to the bed. Apparently in order for her to get her divorce demands met, there is speculation that the stipulation is that she not admit that getting away from Scientology was a factor.
