The Glade 4.0

Last night, I started a new guild on Terenas server, horde side. It's a small, low level guild right now (about 3 people in it and around lvl 12s, since everyone is a reroll so far). I aim to get it up to 90 and do 10 man weekend raiding. My ultimate goal is to kill Garrosh Hellscream. Preferably repeatedly and with extreme prejudice.

If that appeals to anyone, you're welcome to join.

Is it possible to transfer servers? If so, I would be inclined. If not, I could go with a re-roll.

$25 per character plus tax if applicable.

Thought there were also free transfers for returning payers to a lower pop server? Not sure if Terenas qualifies.

But my Hoardies are ~10, and Mook's that level as well, so a re-roll wouldn't be that bad either.

Oooh... And I just realized... I can box up and sell pets Horde side that I get Alliance side, that should make transferring some cash relatively easy.

Do you know how long it takes to do a character transfer?

I'm usually on in the afternoon/evenings, on my monk Bibok. My guild is <Windy Fly Shadow>. It's just a sliver below guild level 3. My fiancee and I are 30, and Stathol's rogue is ~25.

I've done it several times. The official page says it can take an hour. But usually it gets done quicker than that.

I'd be willing to transfer over, but I'd have to do it for at least 4 of my characters and I just don't want to give Blizzard another 100 dollars again.

Mine took only 2-3 minutes. They claim it can take up to 24 hrs though.

My biggest concern moving over to Terenas was that the population looked like it was lower than my current server, and therefore AH selling prices might have been affected.

My fear came true. Prices were radically different for all my auctions that I pulled from Khaz'Modan and relisted on Terenas. Not only did I sell a lot of crap that wasn't selling on KM, but I sold it for more than double what they were going for previously!

I may like this move.

You can sell a lot of stuff at excellent prices. There's a shortage of all sorts of goods on the AH.

Always happens when a new expansion hits, everyone is crafting.

Yep. I fully intend to cash in on it. I'm already up to 1200g on my L40 rogue and I haven't even been speculating -- just selling off raw mats from skinning and herbing ALL THE THINGS.

I should clear the old crafting gear out of my guild bank... I've got 3 tabs of stuff.

I should also take out my gatherers and gather some stuff, more than likely.

Yes, mats value skyrocket after an expansion. But this server is still averaging me double what I was getting on Khaz Modan. It's great.

And now that the AH app is free on mobile devices (part of the armory), it's even greater.


Also, if anyone in the guild needs an enchant or gem/ring/necklace, let me know. The one character I transferred is an enchanter/jewelcrafter.

I think everyone who transferred is Horde, but if you happen to have Alliance alts, I've got 450 Enchanter/Blacksmith/Engineer/Mining/Herbalism/Inscription, and decent sets of the lower level ones too.

Next char to 80 gets Alchemy/JC, and my Druid gets LW/Skinning.

How long will this last? I seem to recall a Glade guild that was created a few years ago on Moon Guard. Is anyone still playing there?

I can't guarantee how long the guild will last. I stated the guild hoping to do some weekend raiding with relatively casual guildmates, and I hope that the guild gains enough traction for people to be able to have fun, myself included. I'm not making a "Glade" guild, but as a member of the Glade, I am offering to anyone here who is interested a chance to join.

I haven't run a guild before, but my fiancee has, and I was an officer in another casual raiding guild for 6 years. We did Fri/Sat 10-man raiding from Vanilla through the end of Lich King. I'm hoping to get something like that going again on my new server, because I enjoyed doing that.

My playtime is all over the place, but I'd try to carve out some specific time for raids, guild groups, etc.

Got an 80 druid horde-side now, although I need to start gearing up and leveling some professions.
