So not going to the Superbowl is better than going to the Superbowl and losing?

Waiter, I'll have what he's having...

You're losing either way. They're equivalent. The only thing that matters is winning the big game.

Can they throw an unsportsmanlike on the coach? I would love to see his face when he just cost his team 15 yards for acting like a whiny little *****.

As of now, the Steelers have the most appearances and the most wins. As a Niners fan, I admit freely that they have the superior Superbowl record and give them the respect they deserve.

This doesn't mean I expect that they are going to hold it forever, and I hope the Forty-Niners are the one to bury it in the annals of history. We have a decent shot at tying the wins this year, I hope we can keep up the undefeated trend and go on to new heights from there.

The real argument is, if we win this year, when we get to the Superbowl next time will 7-0 be considered a better record than 6-2.

Yes, yes it will.

If the 9ers get there again, and win, it'll be 6-1.

go Ravens!

By this logic, the New Orleans Saints are better than the Steelers because they're undefeated in Superbowl appearances.. all one of them.

If two teams have the same number of wins, the team with more appearances has the better Superbowl history.

Yes, things other than winning the big game do, in fact, matter. It's a hell of a lot better to lose in the Superbowl than go 3-13 for the season.
