Just as many people with "defective genes" are passing their DNA along, as those who do not.

I'd say those with defective genes in the responsibility department are more likely to pass along their DNA to the next generation.

And yet have zero chance of considering this, let alone letting the conclusion guide their actions. Thus, it is up to those smart enough to consider this, to keep up.
