Making a round thing spin in a circle is pretty much the standard method of generating electrical power. **** it, you should be charging your phone while you pedal your bike.

What's the difference between this and bicycle headlights powered by a generator that we've had since the 70's? (Other than efficiency and application, of course.)

Obviously this isn't a new method of generating power, but I submit that you won't be able to find a device in such a small and convenient form factor with which to do so. It's a niche hipster product, /shrug. If I rode a bike I'd probably back this, I charge my phone in the car all the time. Would be nice to have a bike equivalent to that convenience.

There's no difference at all, hence my previous post. There's no technological breakthrough necessary. Round thing spins in a circle and generates electricity. Hook the wires together. We do it in cars all the time.
