This kind of makes sense. Tebow is a decent backup QB. He's actually won a playoff game. The problem has always been with the craziness that surrounds him. Not even the most ardent Tebow fan could say with a straight face that Tebow should start ahead of Tom Brady, and Bill is the perfect coach to shut down all the outside garbage and not let it affect the team.

The official word is that Tebow is competing for the 3rd QB spot; I have a suspicion he's going to be in the backfield as a gimmick/utility slot if he's kept on the team. And Gronk might just teach him to play Tight End.
