The Glade 4.0

So, I'm going on vacation for 2 weeks starting this Saturday. Thus, naturally, I need to work an extra 80 hours this week so I can have time "off". ****.

Anyway, so I was all weekend, and it was incredibly hot. We have this "occupied" button that is supposed to tell the AC control that someone's in this area and to control the temp. I must have pushed that stupid button 30 times. Nothing ever happened. So, here's the email exchange:

Me: It's miserably hot in here, and I've pushed the "occupied" button. I know you're not here this weekend, but can you tell me if it's broken or I'm doing something wrong for the future?
This morning, response: Did you hold the button down for 5 seconds?
Me: Probably not. I'll try that next time. Thanks.
Response: We wanted to make it so that it wouldn't be inadvertently engaged if someone brushed up against it or leaned on it.
Me: ... /facepalm

Lol ours requires a 10 second press even though they are literally head-level in every conference room.

At least you have them. When I was with the public school they turned the air off in most buildings when the teachers were gone for the summer and we had to suffer if we went onsite. To say nothing of all the hard drives that failed when teachers came back
