Seriously, they suck a big donkey cock.

I live in a nice neighborhood, just outside city limits. I've had a lawnmower stolen off my back porch while inside the house in the middle of the day. This was about a year ago.

Tonight, just after dark, I took my dog out to her yard to do her thing, and I see two trucks drive down my street. The first truck has a deep freeze in the back, and I think.....that looks like my old deep freeze that was stored in an out building. Yep, go around to that part of my yard, and it was gone. They drove up on my property at 6pm, threw it in their truck, and drove away while I was in my **** yard. (My yard is decent sized, so I cannot see every part of it unless I walk it)

So.......until I can take measures to improve things around here I will need to figure out some way to deter them from entering my property when I am not watching 24 hours a day. I'm thinking some T posts driven down where a vehicle can enter, and some boards with nails buried just below the ground level.

And if I catch them sumbitches on my property, hell will rain down upon their heads. Losing an old deep freeze isn't too big a deal, but having people drive onto my land while I am at home and stealing ****, pisses me off. I have to carry a goddamn gun while walking in my yard. ****.

No. I did not bother. It would do nothing to help in this case. Two trucks, one red, didn't see the make since it was dark. Old freezer worth maybe $125. Don't even remember the make and model. Insurance raised deduct to $1000. Won't be filing a claim.

I've made them in the past. But unless it's something worth a lot of money, there's no need. Sheriff's dept never rides up and down my neighborhood. Likely too much area to cover and they really could care less IMHO. They've got enough other things to worry with, like all the damn meth labs and crack houses in the county.

Time to wire up some camera's and lights with motion sensors. Just don't put out traps, you would hate yourself if a kid got hurt. Not to mention, the jail time and all that.

You still might want to make a report. If any neighbors have as well, that can establish a pattern that will draw more police resources to your area. Resources tend to be assigned based on activity trends, but if people don't report crimes then that activity won't be considered.

It also establishes that people having been breaking into your property, so if you DO end up shooting someone in the future it becomes a documented fact that you've had problems with felons in the past, and it was reasonable for you to believe that these were more of the same.
