A demo for Capcom's Xbox One zombie game Dead Rising 3 is now available to download, Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb announced today.

The demo is available from the Xbox One's Game Store. You can also say "Xbox Bing - Show me game demos" to find the demo from the system's marketplace.

"The DR3 demo is in the process of rolling out. If it's 'Unavailable'- try again later. It will be available in all regions the game is sold," Hryb said.

The Dead Rising 3 demo is set in the Ingleton district within Los Perdidos. In the trial, which lasts only 20 minutes but can be played twice per gamertag, players can combine weapons, drive vehicles, and battle zombies.

Earlier this week, Hryb explained why there are only a handful of Xbox One demos available right now, and said more will be added in the future.

Dead Rising 3 was released on November 22 as a launch title for the Xbox One. For more, check out GameSpot's review.

So, download a 7GB demo that lasts 20 minutes and you can only play it TWICE. As well, it doesn't sound like there's currently any way to delete it. I just... can't ... what the hell?

Hm..

I guess I really don't see the issue.

20 min might be a bit short, but it is probably enough to give you an idea if you like the game from a mechanics and playability standpoint.

20 minutes is a normal time limit for a demo. 7GB is the price you pay for that demo being part of the newest generation.

I'm fine with the size (although it's silly that there's no way to delete it), and the time limit. I'm not fine with the fact that you can only play it twice. Why on earth add that limitation?

Maybe it's only got 30 minutes of unique gameplay and they don't want you to find out until you spend $60.

Yeah, that's kind of my thought. Demo embargo, don't find out your mistake until you play the full version.

I have no problem with the 2x plays in an open world game. I might expect more in a game on a rail.
