Good call on the Scrubs. Those are probably the best seasons imo.

It is complicated, but versatile.

http://www.marshmallowfluff.com/pages/homepage.html

The question might be better phrased as what don't you do with Marshmallow Fluff. Especially when you have hungry people with sweet teeth. I've learned to stay away from it as an adult, but loved it a lot when I was a kid.

Fluffernutters! It's half fluff, half peanut butter. It's like heaven (and hell if you're eating lighter) between two slices of bread or toast.

As for loot, I got a bag of holding from ThinkGeek, a coat from Express that I turned in for other Express clothes, a scarf, and AMC movie theatre gift cards. I didn't get as much this year, but it was one my nicer Christmas years. I was able to give more thanks to having a great family, great friends, the ability to save extra this year. But I'm not totally selfless. Eventually I'll get a MacBook Pro, courtesy of me, after I have enough saved for it in a month or two.

During the warmer months, I will sit on the patio with my morning coffee, just listening to the birds sing and watching their antics! I even leave pomegranates on my tree during the winter for the scrub jays and mockingbirds to feed on. So, yeah, I guess I am a birdwatcher! :P

(I have no idea what the CBC is  )

Gotcha. That's how it starts, next thing you know you're traveling to the Galapagos Islands to see a rare bird on the off-chance you'll be there when it is. (No, I haven't done this!) "CBC" is the Christmas Bird Count, run nationwide by the Audubon Society to assess bird population health.

Oh, and I got some cool indoor/outdoor slippers for Christmas, too.

I got...a new computer for my Christmas/birthday, The Witcher, the Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer and Storm of Zehir expansions(years behind on the Witcher and the expansions, I know, but since I got a new computer that could actually run them...), $40 cash and a $50 gift card to Best Buy. Good times were had by all.

I also received a Kindle, and it's pretty slick. E-ink displays are neat. I wish our survey data collector at the office had one of those so that you could read it in bright sunlight. I also got an iPod Touch (8GB), several conventional books, a couple new pairs of jeans, and some cash for the purchase of Kindle books. So far I've mostly just been hording all the free books, though :p. Much of classic literature (especially western literature) is public domain, and you can download quite a bit of it from the Kindle store for free. I think maybe they pulled it from Project Gutenberg. I'm not really sure.

My daughter decorated a plate for me. I got a Lenox strawberry bowl and the Escaflowne series on DVD (divorce casualty). Other friends sent me tea and a gift basket.

My bf and I haven't exchanged gifts yet - I'd already made him a linen tunic and robe for Yule, and got him a cookbook on recipes from Jews in Aleppo. (It was on his wishlist.) The gift he ordered for me hasn't come in yet.

I bought myself an iPhone a week ago. My daughter loves it.

I picked up Borderlands and Fallout 3: Game of the Year edition with my giftcards/money. Both for the PC. It's nice having a PC that can actually play games now.

Screeling, there should be a cartouche (stamp) on the stock that will show when the rifle was manufactured.

Interesting. The Model 1898 doesn't really correspond to when it was made. This Word document form the National Park Service has serial numbers for that model, and indicate that yours (327*) was manufactured in 1901. He may have used it in the Philippines, but the Spanish-American War itself was over by 1901.

That being said, I'm very jealous. I love old rifles like that.
