Missed my game stuck in ATL's shit-hole airport :(

We won though!

Ah, the new transfer rule.

Not to worry, the rule was reversed today at a league meeting and will revert to the old interpretation, by which the catch itself is enough to rule a player out, and the transfer is unnecessary.

I've been afraid to say anything, because every year the Jays go on one good winning streak to get my hopes up, and then collapse, but ... they look pretty good right now.

Nice to see them back at .500 and they are getting healthy. But how long before they return to form?

9-1 is a nice run for your last 10 games.

On another topic - All-Star voting is an odd thing.

Jose Bautista has far and away the most votes of any player for All-Star ballotting. And sure, he's having a good year.

Edwin Encarnacion just hit 19 homeruns in May and is the most dangerous hitter on the Jays roster so far this year. He is the regular first-baseman... yet somehow he's on the ballot as a "Designated Hitter" and has little chance of being in the top 3 for voting.

The whole all-star balloting is a travesty. The all-star game should not be a popularity contest.

How about Lonnie Who Loves Baseball btw?

-2.5 sir. hehe

Honestly, the way the Tigers are going, they will be in last place by the time the all star game comes around. Verlander is shitting the bed every time out now and old Max isn't doing much better.

You guys have a ton of unplayed games (5 now?). Did you get rained out a ton at the start of the season or something?

The previously most potent offense in baseball has been shut out in 3 of the last 4 games. I'm concerned.

We missed a few games due to snow and rain.

Ok, the AL Central has to be the worst division in Baseball. The **** Tigers had a MONTH where they went 9 and 20. Twenty nine games played, twenty of them they lost. They fell out of first place for a whole day...

Could be worse Raell, you could win 5 in a row and still be 6 games out of first, trailing a team who hasn't made the playoffs in decades no less.

Yeah, quite the deadline. They keep saying that the Tigers now have the last three AL CY winners. OK, but the Dodgers have the guy who's won two out of the last three NL CYs. ;)

I'm personally happy the Dodgers did very little in terms of trading away the farm - especially since it seems that the Rays took much less for Price from the Tigers than they were asking from the Dodgers. AL West is looking nasty for the Angels, I don't think they're going to be able to catch the A's. Can't see Lackey helping the Cards that much, really.

Next two months will be fun.
