Three variants: The base one, Black, is the biggest cargo capacity and focuses on low operating costs for militia (*ahem*) use. Red offers a transponder, long range scanner, and refits the cargo bay with some basic medical facilities for use in search and rescue ops, but no turret mounted stock. Blue is the Advocacy model, more heavily armored and with the missile hardpoints filled and the cargo bay refitted with detainment cells, by the looks of things.

All feature the RIO seat, tractor beam, and docking collar.

I'm.. torn. I don't know whether I'd rather have containment cells (bounty hunting!) or medical beds. It doesn't look like any of these are limited variants.

I like the idea of the Red, but i am not sure how comfortable I am losing the class 5 turret.

I wondered how the drake adds were going to be handled, how they were going to style themselves as the "outlaw brand" without coming out and saying so. I'm not disappointed.

It's not lost, it's just not stock. The missiles mounts are lost. Honestly, this lineup is a great pirate lineup, dumbasses who complain otherwise because they're not labeled as such be damned. You've got a booty-collecting pirate ship, you've got a slaver pirate ship, and you've got a boarding pirate ship, all with legitimate uses as well. As much as I like the idea of the beefier docking collar rig (it's PLUS!) on the Red and the long-range scanners and the boxy nose that I love... the Blue's bigger shield/max shield offering and heavier weight (which I'm kind of assuming is armor) is sure a siren call...

Oh, also, I need to edit the original. The Blue's only available 'till the 20th this time around.

I was viewing the cutlass as an armed trader. The stronger shields and missile rack on the blue seem like they fit that. But I still feel a tug towards search and rescue...

The hold of the Blue is completely taken up by the cells, and is only 80% the size of the Black even if you rip them out (not sure why that is, but that's what the stats claim). I'd say the armed trader is pretty solidly the Black, which is good news for your wallet, at least.

But yeah, the search and rescue is a nifty notion.
