And most of them aren't hazards. Standing around not paying attention and getting in your way is a jackass, not a danger to public safety.

Then, once you run his *** over and collect insurance, it's a net benefit to you and the auto mechanic. Everybody wins in this scenario. I don't see the problem.

If someone gets run over because he was more interested in his stupid phone game than watching where he was going, he was a hazard regardless of how it financially washes out in the end, both to whoever hit him and definitely to himself.

I went to Pt Defiance Park the other day with some visiting family. We went to several spots in the 700+ acre park. We must have seen 500 people there that day, and I'd say 497 of them were playing this. It was rather surreal.

I'm not saying all of that to be all 'judgey', but there was a moment, watching this, where I felt uneasy about it in an undefined way.

And then, we went to get a beer.

This game is no more of a hazard than handguns.

Look, you can't fix stupid, but now you can give them Pokemon GO and let them go outside during rush hour.

During my 17 mile bike commute home from work every day, I have to stop on the trail 3 or 4 times to avoid a crash. People standing in groups in the middle of the trail, totally zombified by whatever it is on their phone screen.

They aren't the ones who will get hurt if I crash into them....

And I'm not totally against this game. There are some great aspects to it. I've seen families.. as in parents and their young children, walking through the park playing the game together. Surely getting outside and enjoying the summer weather, playing in the park.. it's all great. Just don't to stupid **** (private property, block sidewalks and MUT's, cause car crashes, etc...). Just have a little respect for those around you and it's all awesome. Or, alternatively, please just don't get anyone killed.. mainly ME.

Oh, and GET OFF MY LAWN!

Yeah, stop being dicks, pay attention to your surroundings, and play where there *isn't* traffic. Other than that, play your hearts out.

Remember, if you aren't glued to a screen the entire time you're outside, it makes you an uncool old geezer.

No, but being a jackass to people who are playing a different video game as you does.

I feel like we went from everyone saying "THESE DAMN KIDS NEED TO GET OUTSIDE" to them saying "THERE'S DAMN KIDS EVERYWHERE, THEY NEED TO STOP GOING OUTSIDE!" :psyduck:

People being jackasses and standing in the bike path needs to stop. Some great stories about people "suing pokemon go" because their house is a pokestop or something ridiculous too.

At least the makers of the game had enough social conciousness to remove the pokestop from the holocaust museum.

Niantic continues to degrade this game with every update. Pretty sad.
