Rioting indeed does not make the cause of "it's racism any time a black man is shot by police, even when he's an armed criminal and the cop is black." Maybe if BLM were not entirely about defending violent thuggery and advocating anti police violence, they'd help their "cause" more.

Yeah, that's not their cause. I could certainly see why you would not support such a cause. As an aside, dramatically twisting the opposing viewpoint's position so badly in an effort to make it easier to assail does not support your cause.

Notably, the riots are not in Oklahoma, where an unarmed black man who by all accounts was not a criminal, was shot by a white female police officer in circumstances that - upon initial inspection - do not look good for the officer at all. When you riot over the armed thug with the lengthy criminal history at the same time an apparently blameless citizen was shot it pretty much reveals all you're doing is looking for excuses to riot.

Yeah, that's not why. First the situations are dramatically different, and were handled by the police differently. While you cannot directly compare the two populations, Tulsa's police department released the video quickly, handled the situation better, and there's been charges filed against the officer. Other than "this should have never happened" there's not much to freak out about.

In contrast, Charlotte did not release the video initially, has handled the situation poorly, and given an account of the incident that differs from what witnesses described. Whether you feel the department's handling of the situation is appropriate, this is much more likely to piss people off.

There's plenty of "racism" in Charlotte - all of it among those protesting.

Come on, this is just dumb, and you know it.

Hmm...Drunk DE seems to make points more succinctly than sober DE. I'd be interested to see if he can handle nested quote tags better.

Drunk DE for PotUS.
