Very few trick or treaters this year. Mostly toddlers in cute costumes, no pre-school Harley Quinns happily. Then about 8:00 pm our time the skies started leaking and no more came to the door. Now to lock the left over candy away until I can give it to a friend with kids. I figure part of the reason was all kinds of Halloween type events this last weekend and the Monday evening actual event left a lot of the normal suspects sugar highed out already.

How was your Halloween?

Had two Iron Mans, a young Genji, a Red Riding Hood, a Raphael, a Vault Dweller, a Link, various animals.

At about 6:30, I packed it in.

I had another 12 hour shift today so I didn't even bother.

Nobody. It was raining lightly, but I was still expecting the die-hards.

Brought the candy to work so I don't eat a whole bag of chocolate.

Pretty good turnout here in NE Missouri. I guess I live in a nighborhood a lot of parents like to bring their kids to. I'm amazed at how many parents are too lazy to walk with their kids and instead just drive house to house, smoking in their cars, while their kids do the legwork.

37 including the grandkids. Decent year, not over the top. Lots of candy left over.

Two years in a row not one knock on my door.

I love where I live.

I didn't have as many this year as I did last year. Not very many little ones this year either.

I had class from 5:00 to 8:00 pm so I missed it. The kids were Rey from Force Awakens, a witch, and a fairy. My wife needed 3 glasses of wine to recover.

My new neighborhood has very few kids playing outside, so I didn't expect much. Turns out, there's tons of kids. If you have kids, MAKE THEM PLAY OUTSIDE.

I've never had any trick or treaters at my condo. It's a small complex with only a few units. They are all small and not well suited to young kids (it's mostly single adults and retired couples living here).

As far as the trend towards less door-to-door trick or treaters, overall I think it's a good thing for the kids. My small town had a nice outdoor halloween party on main street (closed to vehicle traffic), and several of the schools and churches had indoor and outdoor halloween events. That, along with the shopping malls having kid oriented halloween events, I think it will make for a much safer time for the kids, and much less worry for the parents.

One glass per child?? I sure hope you never move to a place like where I live, she would be passed out. Last year I had over 30 kids...this year not as many. It always fluctuates. :)

Those were my kids, not the kids coming to the door. If we went by that, there'd be empty bottles all over the place.

Sorry I am so late getting here, blame the Zika virus infected mosquitos.

We did Trunk or Treat at our church, estimated were around 600 over the two hour period, but half or more were repeats by my estimate.

Allanna went as Thor, my wife as Cat woman, me as Batman. My daughter was invited to the annual Halloween party some friends hold in their neighborhood, about 100 kids visiting across 50 houses.

Luckily I was able to take the day also my Birthday off, but nothing special happened. I did get 7 Days to Die which I still have playing now and then when I have time.
