I grew up in the late 70s and 80s. For me, Roger Moore was the first James Bond -- my introduction to the character. I think he was underrated in the role, as well. The man did suave like no other - before or after.

Trivia: Despite replacing Sean Connery in the role of James Bond, Roger Moore was born almost 3 years before Sean Connery. Moore was nearly 90, Connery is not yet 87.

He was my first Bond too. I watched and rewatched the hell out of his movies.
