The Glade 4.0

So I'm color blind which is making it very difficult for me to finish some projects around the house. This is what my bathroom looks like:


I need help picking out some flooring. What color would go with white trim and pineneedle green?

Probably wanna go with a cooler color of green for accents - mint, maybe.

How colorblind? Its a wide range.

Color matching aside, that isn't pine needle green to my eyes. That may be what the paint manufacturer calls it.

If you have any paint left over, take a small piece of wood, paint one half (same face) the white trim color, then paint the other half the pine needle green color.

Once dried, take the small piece of wood to the tile store (bathroom floors should always be tile, in my opinion) and tell the clerk (female if you can get one, amazingly few women are color blind) tell her you are, and ask for help. Be nice, flirt a little if she cares to, and ask what kind of options you have.

Off hand I'd try to match the white trim color in a decent tile. Not everyone likes white bathroom floors though.

You could try to find a tile that matches the sink base (Not the bowl part) It is a neutral color that seems like it would go well with everything in there and you should be able to find tile that matches.

/veto on the green floor idea.

I'm pretty plain-jane when it comes to this kind of thing, but I think a nice lightly patterned tile in natural light earth tones would work well.

Color looks ok but who ever did that tile job is horrible at their job...

Tile job looks fine to me.

I think that was a playful "look at the tiles, they're not even lined up straight!" thing.

There are some issues.

The two main rows aren't centered (messing with my Feng Shui :p) and the small piece along the edge near the doorway is bad juju...

edit: I think that staggered layout would work better in a large open room, but it doesn't really work well in a narrow/small area like that.

I agree Midgen. The colors look good but it needs to be spread out.

I love that sink and faucet, Hopwin! I'm wanting to remodel the master bathroom...that's something I may have to look into! I love the colors also!

It was just the color combo and the slate tile type I was trying to show Hopwin since he is color blind :p
