I have vague memories of this one awesomely funny EQ story that I read years ago, and I'd love to find it again. Something about a group fighting a dragon. I just remember the Shadowknight sitting on the sidelines, doing something devious, and laughing with the Ranger because the dragon keeps shouting, "Paladin!" and then stomping the Paladin into the ground. The Paladin is getting quite frustrated and distraught, of course, because he catches aggro even when he's just standing there.

Anybody remember this one?

We had funny guild events which I kept SS's of until my puter blew up. Things like naked dancing around PoD after we give him weapons and convincing newbies that he's got 'fat lewts'.

There was also the guild run to help one of our rangers who was hell bent on leaving a corpse in every zone.

Then there's the time we went into the plane where all the mobs come for you with 1 group... I lost half a level that day.. ah.. the good times...

This doesn't seem like it, but it did remind me of something that I tracked down...

http://www.hentges.net/misc/TheSafehouseRogue.html should kick up some EQ nostalgia. :p

I'm just glad someone else remembers it! I've posted about it on the EQ forums before, and no one had any idea what I was talking about.

I was trying to find the story of Grun and his Doggie, posted by a famous troll shaman (named Grun) from the Crucible. It was the story of how he was attempting to farm cyclopses on islands in the ocean but his dog refused to listen to him and do what he wanted it to do. All the while speaking with poor grammar (as trolls and ogres often did). Grun, and specifically this story, was half of the inspiration for Numbuk.

The other half was a story I read about a troll named Nuglug who led a raid on the dwarven capital.

For those of you who watch the new Scrubs, does the Quon remind you of anyone? :D
