Had to miss work, spend my budget and drive back 95 miles to recover my car.
Busted a strut on a LM Chevy.

Cop allowed me drive 4.5 miles out of his Twp. and down the interstate in a disabled car to avoid a fine and tow. Don't break down in small-ville PA.

No, I was referring to the law, not the officer enforcing it.

"We will fine you if you incur major inconvenience and unbudgeted expenditures out where it's unsightly to our little town." is the impression I'm getting about the law on the books.

The law was enacted to stop people from driving out of the city and abandoning their junkers.

But, yes, it does suck when you get caught on the unfair side of a law like that.

My father did that once. His car died on the freeway so he pulled the VIN plate, tags and walked away.

You can still get $150 for a junk car towed. That is not the intent. Discourage hunters
