There are no rules on this forum anymore except "don't be an ***." I can quote Dash's post that says so.

I don't think DE was being an ***, and I think you were.

I don't have anything backwards. What you have backwards is the idea that this forum has rules at all. I was in on the discussions that led us to this point, and it is the change to an arbitrary ruleset that caused me to resign as a moderator.

It does have rules. Look at the sticky that is in every forum. It's called "GladeRebooted Posting Guidelines *UPDATED NOV 9/09*" Only the rules for Hellfire changed.

Nov. 9 is months prior to the recent shakeup. Furthermore, the forum owner publicly stating "don't be an ***" as the rule overrides any Posting Guidelines. Those are there for show at this point.

See, what you have inverted is the idea that rules exist anymore. They don't, except in Heckfire, which is why it's a ridiculous, spurious forum that's little-used.

A) The thread is called "Hellfire: Rules 2-08-10". This implies that the contents only apply to Hellfire. It also is only posted in Hellfire.

B) He specifically mentions Hellfire in the description following "Don't be an ***".

Not from what I remember of our internal discussions, which I no longer have access to.

Dash indicated he wanted a hands off-board where the moderators really didn't do much. He indicated that it seemed this didn't work for politics, so he was creating a "heavily-moderated" one, but that the rest of the forum would function under a "don't be an ***" general mentality.

The board rules are unchanged. Hellfire is the only wild-west section. Outside of that, reports are handled just as they always have been.

Fair enough, but that wasn't my impression based upon 1) discussions with Dash nor 2) the amount of ignored reports in various forums following the change-over.
