FarSky did. Though, depending on your theme (and whether or not it underlines links for you) I can see how you could miss it.

I really don't understand the appeal of Whiplash/Backlash. He was a perennial loser in the comic. He wasn't a major threat, a great villain at any time.

And since when does an American named Mark Scarlotti have a cheesy Russian accent.

Since they decided he'd be named Ivan Vanko instead, and make him the son of Anton Vanko.

The interpretation of his briefcase suit made me positively giddy. I can think of all of 2 other instances of watching CG metal parts moving that have made me that excited: Optimus Prime's first on-screen transformation in Transformers and Tychus Findlay's suiting-up to announce StarCraft II.

Based on that trailer, if this isn't the best movie ever i'll probably be disappointed.

Also, more Scarlett being a super secret spy badass in next trailer please.

My next 48 hours will be hell waiting for this. Sigh.

Although, my anticipation does bring to mind a certain deep "eeeee."

Maybe I should spoiler this - concerns one of the trailers.

Spoiler:
For those of you hitting up the premier today or tomorrow, you may also be interested to learn that there are rumors of a trailer/teaser for a new JJ Abrams movie in front of Iron Man 2. It's called "Super 8," but no one is quite sure if that's the name of the movie, or just code. There are also rumors that it may be a Cloverfield prequel (which honestly doesn't thrill me all that much.

Okay, I cheated a bit to fit this in earlier than my preposterously busy weekend would've allowed. And it was delicious. If anything, the fight choreography improved, which impresses me, because the original's was so strong and stylistically faithful to begin with.

This'll probably lead to spoilers (as I ramble), so I'll kick it off in tags. Yup, glad I did!
Spoiler:
I was delighted to see the direction they took the character development for Tony made me happy, though I think if I were writing it, I'd have stretched it a bit farther (over two movies) and launched into Extremis as the resolution of the looming death instead of merely reinventing his reactor (though I do like using the revision as the introduction of the shift to the triangular chest node). The looming death and reckless behavior, the drinking as a result, and the continuation of Stark's personal horror revolving around letting his tech out of his control, were all displayed well.

Fantastic call-outs to the comics include the "I'm not a joiner, but I'd consider Secretary of Defense" line and several others that I noted but forgot in the onslaught of amazing pacing. I love the Stark Expo and the nostalgic 70's atmosphere they pumped into that, it was a nice way to provide an homage to early Stark vibes without having to contort around the Afghanistan origin.

I don't care what Khross says about the casting, the Black Widow was fantastic. They really captured a very dynamic comic book secret agent martial arts spirit with her choreography, that almost makes me feel sorry for the rumored Iron Fist film; topping what we saw here with "mere" kung fu is going to be tough.

I was very hesitant about pulling out Whiplash as a villain. I'm not too proud to admit that tying it in with Hammer (love you, Sam Rockwell!) made it work out satisfyingly well at the end, rather than simply remain the comical semi-suit seen at the race track and in the trailers (on that note, way to go trailer editing, for not blowing that surprise! That's a rarity these days), and even though I think the amalgamation of Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo was, um, unnecessary, it worked well in the end, and ended up being a stronger antagonist than the initial outing's Iron Monger.

As for the future, I think we proved this thing has legs. He'll support a third and hopefully a fourth movie independent of the Avengers. I'm hoping that we'll see Ultron spawned from a sideplot in the Avengers (perhaps emerging from something that Pym tries against the main villain, but gets discarded as destroyed when it wasn't completely), because Jarvis as the suit's A.I./OS is just begging to be hacked, and Ultron's a fantastic candidate. I also hope we see Mandarin come back in a more traditional sense. And, of course, I love Extremis, and I'd just lift it whole cloth from the pages and put it on screen, right down to Ezekiel Stane.

Caleria, I edited in more -- I started to post on my phone, but then realized I'd get home faster than complete it that way, so I switched over.
