Didn't see a thread for this yet, new trailer is out:

Interesting that it appears to be a direct sequel to the original, when the young movie-going public of today has never seen the original.

Regardless, the effects look absolutely astounding.

Coming out on Alyssa Milano's birthday this year? Sweetness.

I'm actually glad this isn't a remake. I will go see this simply for the fact that the people who greenlit this have some major brass balls and don't cave to Hollywood pressure.

I also dug the music for the trailer. A lot. Hoping it is representative of the actual score.

Yup, that's actually the first piece of the actual score released. Apparently, the entire score is written by Daft Punk, which is just another reason to be psyched about it.

Hmmm. Either the Wiki is wrong or I have been wrong all of these years. For the past 20 years I have walking around with the knowledge that her birthday was on the 17th. But, the teenie magazine "Bop" is probably more accurate than wikipedia, right?

It's a disney movie that probably only appeals to arcade-going children of the 80s, and technologically makes no sense whatsoever.

That's a confident legacy right there, yup.

Ya know, they made a great video game from this movie, too. There were some hardware issues - I never saw a machine that held up well - but it was a great game.

I have a feeling that none of you young whippersnappers remember it ...

Alyssa made my transition into puberty much, much nicer.

I really haven't had the same feelings for her since my mid teens. But she is still easy on the eyes.
