The Glade 4.0

If you were like me, and tried out Torchlight but didn't buy it, Steam has it for 75% off this weekend- 5$ for the whole game.

That's too good for me to pass up, thought others might be interested.

Diablo-style RPG from the original creators of diablo, etc. Think I'll have to pick this up for 5 bucks.

I don't love it, but it's way worth $5, imo.

Played the demo, and then picked up a copy for myself and a friend. Really fun.

I can second this. I don't really like the game all that much, but it's definitely a value at $5.

I kinda like Steam sales... except for the financial havoc they wreak on a friend of mine. She just can't resist. Any of them.

I'm actually enjoying it a lot more this time around.

When it first came out, there were a lot of stability issues that seem to have been ironed out.

I couldn't go more than about 5 minutes into a dungeon without a random game fail, resulting in no save on my progress. Had to start exiting and restarting every 5 minutes to be safe- it sucked.

Steam sales are awesome. I bought this game a while back. I swear it was on sale then too. I haven't gotten into it too much, but I did like what I played when I did. I just have so many games on my plate, some will have to wait.

SWEET MERCIFUL CRAP this game needs multiplayer SO MUCH. It would consume so many hours. SO MANY.

IIRC, the original plan was to see how this version was received before they proceeded with development of a Torchlight MMO.

The current wiki page says they're still planning to do a free-to-play MMO 18-24 months after the original release (which was october last year).

There's also some multiplayer mods in development for this version, but nothing solid I could find yet.

Damn how'd I miss this? Oh well.

I picked it up. Don't have much time to play with school and all, but is fun to play!

Very surprised that there is no multiplayer (yet?). Would be super fun.
