Are you looking for a serious response?

Heh, no. I would have though it was obvious by the fine print that this was humorous. Put it here because, well this is the Glade. It made me laugh, and while there are lots of conservatives here, there are also many who would find it similarly funny.

Honestly, it was about as funny as the Fear/Hope cartoon. Perhaps if she was a valid candidate and not already a comics wet dream it might have more punch.

But then, I would consider her getting elected the cruelest joke.

I would like to see her get elected, so all the liberals heads would explode.

Then, we find out she was really born in Kenya and she is immediately impeached. Zombie liberals rise from their graves and cheer! Only to find that the Supreme Court has decided that George W Bush gets to be president again.

A bio-engineered mix of GWB and Carter for Pres.

If we're talking Bio engineering...

Bad:
A dash of Lincoln, FDR, and Carter.

Good:
Washington, Reagan, and Teddy :)

Eh, if we're going to go that far, let's just get Stephen Byerley.

She was elected. She quit before finishing the job. She isn't showing the responsibility to complete her commitments that I would expect in a presidential candidate.

Yes, that annoyed me.

Right there with ya. Sadly in this day and age you don't even need to quit. I've been very frustrated with our governor here in MN. Pawlenty is trying very hard to make a bid for the 2012 presidential election and has been spending most of his time out of state instead of actually doing his job.

Yeah I sure hate it when elected officials run around campaigning instead of getting any work done

Yeah, me too Rorinthats, for some it's almost as if they never even stopped campaigning.

This does bug me, but her take on it I can somewhat see. All the lawsuits being brought against her while she was in office were costing her legal fees out of pocket. Neither her nor her husband were wealthy and the legal fees were draining their money. I'm not exactly sure what I'd do in that kind of situation, but I can understand taking the easy way out when you have children to provide for.

Not to mention the cost to the state.
Law.com
Quote:
The cost of the ethics complaints to the state is a bigger financial issue. The state provided a breakdown of the $1.9 million cost this week, with the "Troopergate" scandal, staff lawyer research and public records requests making up a large portion of the cost. Palin says the series of complaints distracted staff from doing real work for the state, and the money could be spent on more useful things, such as roads, cops and energy and fish research. The state has spent $296,000 just on independent lawyers to investigate complaints, state administrative director Linda Perez for the governor's office.

She's a valid candidate to many for some reason. I'd be surprised if she wasn't in the next presidential election.

I would think that this would make her unelectable, but I guess not. She obviously took time off to work on future plans. I haven't seen anyone in the press lambaste her for leaving office to do some obvious political maneuvering. She said she left because of the media attention she was getting was affecting her family, but it didn't take her long to come back with a book and face-time on the various TV shows.

I'd swap her faults and all for the community organizer idiot we have in office right now.

I wouldn't because her faults will just lead us back here again, in short order.

I like the idea of her (someone outside the political elite doing well in politics). Also I think Mccain picking her was a good idea, as a VP needs to balance out the ticket. While I agree with her platformally, voting for her in a 2012 primary isn't something I'm completely comfortable with yet.

The healthcare issue is going to crusify Romney politically. But then, you are from Massachusetts, you should already know this.

What has he done that you wouldn't expect out of the Daley Machine School of Chicago Politics? He's being pretty true to his roots if you ask me.

That is not praise by the way. Note my sig line, it isn't there by accident.
