He punctuated it with quite an exclamation mark and played consistently well all the way through the 18th.

Props to Anthony Kim for a late surge and shooting a 65. Tiger looked good, considering he hasn't played competitively in quite a few months, tied with KJ Choi at -11. I wonder if not only do they combine and split the 4th and 5th place purse, but does Tiger also have to give Choi half of the phone numbers of all those women he slept with?

I was amused by Mickelson's fantastic drive through closely placed trees to within three feet of the hole, which he then two-putted. Classic Mickelson.

Apparently, he was pretty cool over the weekend. According to the LA Times, he hit a ball into the gallery which came to rest under a woman's chair. They didn't let her move until he got there, at which point he walks up and asks, "Hey, how are you doing?" She says, "Um, good, I guess, you?" "Pretty good," he answers.

Tiger might have clubbed her or asked for her number.

Sorry, cheap-shot, couldn't resist.

But in general I got a good feel of why he's a pretty likeable guy. For the shot between the trees, he said "Was going to have to go between them to lay up anyway, so I went for the green." Ballsy.

No matter what, I'm still a Tiger fan. He showed some flashes of brilliance, but ultimately was way too inconsistent and made some really stupid mistakes.

I was happy to see Phil won. Definitely deserved another one.

I too, am a Tiger fan. I was fairly impressed with his performance given the circumstances.
