If you haven't watched this series, you should. The first few episodes are pretty bad, but each episode gets better and better, culminating in one of the best season finales I have probably ever seen. It's a Starz show, but available on Netflix instant stream for convenience.

Not safe for children. Lots of blood and nakedness.

Yup, I watched this one, it's full on roman porn. (Including Xena: Warrior princess!)

I'm up to the finale now and the story is awesome. Definitely stick with it through the first few crap episodes.

Hopefully Andy Whitfield's cancer won't delay filming of season 2 for too terribly long.

Her character is absolutely awesome in the series. She seems like the perfect person for that role.

Yup, when I first heard this information it was the catalyst for me to bump it to the top of the queue as well. She is evil awesome as well!

Having watched the whole series, the first few episodes are terrible, but the later ones are great. The season finale was amazing!

I hope they make a 2nd season.

OK, waitaminute. It's a series, without a defined end point? That seems kind of odd. I mean, sure, it was a long rebellion, but, you'd think they'd have a plan for finishing it.

I thought the season finale was great.
Spoiler:
They got their freedom and escaped the ludus. History goes on to tell what happened afterwards (Spartacus and his companions were followed into the mountains and fought again there), but someone that doesn't know could easily be appeased by the notion that Spartacus just escaped.

Regardless, they are going to do another season. They just don't want to film it until the main character's cancer treatments have been finished.

Finished Season 1 last night. Jupiter's cock, what an amazing show! :twisted:

I absolutely love this series, and I am extremely disappointed that now I have to wait before I can watch more episodes. My wife and I really enjoyed it, which is surprising, because she normally doesn't enjoy a lot of violence and bloodshed. Maybe it was all the sex that kept her interested. LMAO. Anyway, amazing series. Outstanding season finale. Can't wait for season two.

If you enjoyed Spartacus, Seasons 1 & 2 of Rome are equally as good to help hold you over.

And the change up... I wanted Crixus to suffer, but he turned out to be cool. And the Senators daughter escaping what I feel she deserved does suck.

Holy ****... I just bought this on a complete whim after getting dragged to Walmart on an epic papergoods run with the old lady.

My thoughts were pretty much: "You've pretty much harassed me into coming shopping with you, but not just shopping... shopping at one of the places I dislike the most on this planet. I'm going to wander off and make an impulse buy to encourage you not to do this to me again."

Normally the purchases are a bit larger (the last time I had to shut her up by coming along I bought a netted gazebo), but this series caught my eye while I was looking at the televisions, and I decided to give it a go.

Totally Blown Away. (Ashamedly glad I went to Walmart.)

I never got to see season 1, but I wateched the prequel season and thought it was awesome...I'm hoping they replay it sometime soon on starz as I don't have netflix
