WOW....just started watching this one.

Tim Roth is awesome in it.

This show is amazing, this guy thinks how I think, only way faster.

I'd like to see some kind of documentary featuring real people with his ability.

Yup, I also recently started watching, very cool show. I find myself wondering every episode how accurate the science actually is on the show.

Regardless, very entertaining.

Really the only inaccuracy in the show that I can find is poor acting. Sometimes the lies are way too obvious and don't take a super-genius to see, but he points them out anyway as if nobody else could see it. This adds to the confusion because lying is so similar to acting. So it's sometimes hard to tell if it is intentional for the story or if the person playing the part is just a crappy actor.

I was just thinking, remember in the videogame Oblivion where they had the 4 options for diplomacy? It would be cool if they implemented a realistic lie system once technology is able to do that kind of intricate animation. That way you can use real world lie detection skills to effect how you handle diplomacy.

The science in the show is based on real science much like crime scene procedural shows are based on real life methods, i.e. it's made dramatic for the sake of being interesting. Cal Lightman is loosely based on a real person.

I don't think I completely agree with this, but between the two of us, I'm not the one getting my undies in a bundle. (my undies make my *** look great, though...hahaha) ;)

To me, Michael is a grumpy old man, who also happens to be pretty smart. He's wise, seen a lotta ****, and offers his "wisdom" here and in turn he is worshiped around here like some kind of father figure. He obviously enjoys this role so any time someone challenges his ways they're met with hostility. I understand life experience is a great thing and being able to pass it on is even greater--but it's also important to realize that giving advice and knowledge is not the same as pushing your own life experiences on people. When I disagree with him I'm met with hostility--probably because of age bias. I'm relatively young, in the grand scheme of things, so people look at that and assume that due to my perceived lack of knowledge and/or experience that I have no business having my own opinion or ideas that differ from the rest of the Glade--well, to that, I say f*** you..... and then people wonder why the Glade grows so stagnant. It's simply a case of being the biggest fish in the tank. For a wise man he sure has a lot of growing up to do. There's an entire ocean out there. So quit with the personal attacks, that **** is not welcome here.

Arise, thread long since past! Haunt the forum of thy creation! Unlive again!

I have started watching this show for the first time on Netflix instant-watch.

Damn good. Too bad it didn't last more than three seasons. <3 Tim Roth.
