You heard some lucky bums got the Incredible early due to a shipping snafu?

Early adopters - ultra early adopters - get a bit of sweetness.

Haven't tried it, but "Phonemypc" is what I hear other droid users use.

I've switched again. No HTC Incredible, because I feel like the HTC Evo on Sprint is a stronger offering. I'm currently stuck inbetween that, and the amazing-looking WP7 handset leaked by Dell yesterday.

Decisions, decisions.

Awesome app : ShapeWriter. It's free. Makes typing so much easier. You slide your finger across the keyboard to type. Somewhat like swype. Except it's out now. This is actually my first time using it and already it's increased my typing time greatly. Can't wait till i get proficient!

And again, it's free. :D

Posted from my new incredible :p
I haven't even scratched the surface yet on what this baby can do.

edit: They gave us a great deal which is good only thru 5/9:
Buy the Motorola Droid (which my wife prefers for the physical keyboard) for $249.99 (-$100 rebate) and get the Incredible for $100 (-$100 rebate, so FREE!).

I don't know if it's been mentioned or not, but Google Sky Map will make iPod users wet themselves.

I always thought it was the fact that I can view Flash, have widgets, create my own ringtone (for free), that my OS is open source, and that I can have more than one application open at a time; that did that.

That, and Steve Jobs himself said that if you like porn then you should get the Android. He probably meant it to be a bad thing. But I think to many folks on here that's a major endorsement and selling point!

I'm not surprised that you would know that.

True full blown Flash support isn't there yet, but it's in the works. Because Google doesn't have a hardon for being anti-Flash. Must be bitter that the latest version of Photoshop was written for PC then ported to Mac (at least that's what I heard).

Doubt it, CS5 is the first Adobe Product properly optimized for Cocoa since OSX was released.

Just found a cool little app to track shipments across a wide array of shipping methods. It's called Parcels. Pretty sweet.

Haha, good info. But I don't see how Jobs can propose to keep porn completely off the iphone. Even with all the content control possible, there's no way to keep certain sites from bypassing those controls.

Anyone know how to change the font size in Handcent? I updated it recently and now my font size is huge. The FAQ on their site seems outdated..

I don't have a droid, but there are some font settings in the settings menu under 'theme' on my NexusOne. There are also some font packs available in the marketplace.

I has Froyo.

Apparently Verizon is releasing it OTA starting this week, and I found how to load it manually. No rooting required, etc ;)

Yeah - I've been using it for the last week. I'm terribly underwhelmed. I'm going to go back to 2.1, root, and start loading some custom ROM's. The Droid's interface sucks.

Only two real attractions to froyo for me... WiFi Tether, and Flash. A third, more subject attraction would be the alleged improved performance, although I have no performance issues on the Samsung Vibrant I'm currently using.

I have resisted the temptation to root the Vibrant, just because I don't feel like messing with it, although if not having flash becomes annoying enough, and I find a 2.2 rom that looks appealing, I may decide to do it...

Meh. I'm looking forward to froyo on my MyTouch Slide. WTB Exchange push support, PST. WiFi tethering will be nice, too.

HTC's committed to updating all their 2010 phones to froyo before the year's out, so I imagine I won't have that long to wait.

Hmm. the 2.1 build I have on my vibrant does full exchange push, including calendar sync...

You could give 'Touchdown' a try for exchange sync, but be prepared for it being a resource hog....

Yeah, given that the myTouch Slide isn't a spec dynamo, I've been hesitant to try Touchdown. No push for me; I don't know whether that's a build thing or an HTC **** with **** thing, but the best I've got on my 2.1 Update 1 is 15-minute pull.

Well I had my first major flub with ShapeWriter today. Was texting my wife to tell her I found a program that will automatically change her mp3 tags for her, so she doesn't have to do it manually. As I began typing, I misstyped(shaped) a word and as I went to hit backspace, I accidentally hit send instead.

The phrase I was typing was "I just found a program..." but what was actually sent was "I just found a orgasm"

I'm now curious to learn what her reaction was.

Outside of this though, shapewriter continues to be outstanding. Great, great app.

A similar error resulted in the naming of one of our cats. I was texting to Taamar about the new "siamese", and my phone's predictive text decided that I wanted to talk about "shamere".

"Shamere, ya little ****" is now a common phrase in our household.
