Forgot about this song until I heard it at the gym a while ago. I don't really like Finger Eleven, but this song was written well and the style and arrangement is perfect for the music.

I'm always jumping around depending on my mood, but here's a couple that I've been listening to constantly:

Northern Lights - Bowerbird
Spoiler:

Blood Bank - Bon Iver
Spoiler:

The xx's entire album, xx, but in particular the songs
Spoiler:

.

And then there's my usual staple when I need something more upbeat and fun, the album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix by Phoenix. There's tons of good stuff on this one, and it's hard to nail down the best ones. Here's my two favorites though
Spoiler:

1901 and Rome are both also quite good.

Here's hoping my youtube links work, never used the tag before, lol.

*edit- Changed a couple that had embedding disabled.

Really, really enjoying their This is War album, right now.

My favorites are Alibi and Kings & Queens. And Stranger in a Strange Land is such an interesting composition. It really does paint such a bizarre landscape, especially in comparison with the rest of the songs on the album.

Been listening to a rock band called Hypernova, from Tehran (yeah, *that* Tehran, Iran) that started under the '90s when the guy in charge loosened things up. Since things went back downhill when the moderate left/was booted/quietly killed or whatever, all the changes in a moderate direction were changed, and the band has relocated to New York. They don't go by their real names, because there is a lot of fear of serious repercussions against their families.

They're surprisingly good. Not too heavy on politics, decent musicians. There's kind of a Queens of the Stone Age/Joy Division and early New Order/Pixies feel to them. They've toured with Sisters of Mercy, and I'm hoping they hook up with a band that brings them to Dallas.

Fairy Tales is one of my favorites, downloaded the latest album off iTunes, and been giving it heavy rotation in my car.

That song is indeed awesome. And is one of Stampy's favorites.

Mess of Me by Switchfoot.

Quote:
I am my own affliction
I am my own disease
There ain´t no drug that they could sell
No, there ain´t no drug to make me well

There ain't no drug
There ain´t no drug
There ain´t no drug
It´s not enough
The sickness is myself

- Chorus -
I've made a mess of me I wanna get back the rest of me
I´ve made a mess of me I wanna spend the rest of my life alive
I´ve made a mess of me I wanna reverse this tragedy
I´ve made a mess of me I wanna spend the rest of my life alive
The rest of my life alive!

We lock our souls in cages
inside these prison cells
It´s hard to free the ones you love
Ohh, when you can´t forgive yourself
Forgive yourself!

There ain´t no drug
There ain´t no drug
There ain´t no drug
The sickness is myself

- Chorus -
I've made a mess of me I wanna get back the rest of me
I´ve made a mess of me I wanna spend the rest of my life alive
I´ve made a mess of me I wanna reverse this tragedy
I´ve made a mess of me I wanna spend the rest of my life alive
The rest of my life alive!

There ain´t no drug
There ain´t no drug
There ain´t no drug
No drugs to make me well
There ain´t no drug
It´s not enough
There ain't no drug
The sickness is myself
The sickness is myself

- Chorus -
I've made a mess of me I wanna get back the rest of me
I´ve made a mess of me I wanna spend the rest of my life alive
I´ve made a mess of me I wanna reverse this tragedy
I´ve made a mess of me I wanna spend the rest of my life alive
The rest of my life alive!
