Anyone else? >_>

I would like to do some Firefight with someone else, but with no matchmaking, I don't have anyone to play -with-.

Sorry, but a Halo game without Master Chief isn't something I'm interested in. Especially after what I heard about you switching characters several times throughout the game. I like to get attached to the characters and I can't do that if I have to constantly switch between them. Hell, Halo 2 only had two different characters to switch between and I really didn't enjoy it(well, that and the lack of the Assault Rifle).

I have given up the fight with MS/Charter over getting my xbox to connect to the internet. But I do want to give the game a spin or ten.

I'm very interested in this game but unfortunately can't afford it right now as I'm planning a trip in the next month. My bro has it and says he likes the storytelling better than Halo 3, so that's something.

I heard the single player campaign was only like 6 hours. I just can't see paying that kinda money for that short a campaign. I'll hit it up when it's used and cheap. Like all'y'all's moms.

Do you have needed to play any of the other Halo games to enjoy this?

Still have yet to play a Halo game.

I had a blast with Halo 1 and I think would be worth the price of the download. Halo 2 had it's moments. Halo 3 was *yawn*.

If you're not going to play multiplayer, don't buy it. It's not a single player game.

If you want to play Halo 3 multiplayer with all the premium maps, and ODST firefight co-op against the AI, then it's definitely worth the cost.

The campaign is solid, and in my experience, it's about as long as the Halo 3 campaign. (Maybe a little easier, but I don't know if that's me getting better, or the game catering to my playstyle a bit more, or the game getting easier.)

But it's still a multiplayer thing, mostly. Disappointing that ODST doesn't have 4-player single console or Firefight matching, but I'll find people to play with somehow.

Only two player split screen. Unfortunately, I have a whole four friends. This is an unusual thing, but it still presents a problem.

No, you don't. It can completely stand on its own and the SP Campaign is really good. Also Nathan Fillion is of course awesome.

By the way - the Multiplayer disc contains ALL of the Halo 3 maps PLUS all of the DLC maps + the new ODST ****.

Yes. Yes we did. :) If the folk I usually play with were here, there would have been lots of fist-pound, after murdering hundreds and hundreds of Covenant. That was outstanding.

MOAR.

Entertainment:

Mickey (Wash, I think?) saying "That was a lot of people dying at once!"

Buck (Mal) saying "You know, they -are- more fun to fight than Elites!"

"Did you kill any of them?"

Ok, I am thinking this is the best of all the Halo games...that or it has just been that long that I am loving it that much.

Halo 2 > Halo 1 >>>>>>>> Halo 3

After the lackluster experience that was Halo 3, I have no interest in ODST or any other Halo entry.

I thought Halo 1/2 were garbage but loved 3.

Halo 1 was by far the best. Halo 3 was a hell of a lot better than the Assault Rifleless Halo 2.

Halo 1 was garbage. Halo 2 was okay, but not better story or gameplay-wise, than Halo 3. Halo 3 has the advantage of looking ridiculous.

Finished the campaign today. I think the hunters are a bit easier to fight in this game than before. Other than that, I am pleased.

Lengthwise, how does the campaign compare to Halo 3? Half as long?
