Did a search, didn't find any threads on this movie. It seems like all the reviews I remember hearing were very middle of the road, gave me kind of a negative view of the movie. We rented it and watched it last night, and I have to say, I was amazed. It was excellent! The story was very well crafted, and the film was long, but it gave the story the time it needed to be told. Highly recommended, one of the best films I have seen in a long time.

The worst thing about that movie was that you could see how quickly he was getting younger, so you could guage how much longer the torture was going to continue. If it jumped around more or something, I could have at least held out hope that it might end abruptly at any moment.

I've been wanting to see this, but kinda forgot about it. I like weird dramas like this. And long, weird, Brad Pitt movies don't bother me (I'm one of the few people I know who enjoyed Meet Joe Black).

This. I'm just glad I saw it on a plane. At least I can't complain that I wanted those 3 or so hours back.

I usually love everything, but this movie made me want it to be over. I only stayed invested in it to see how things ended with him becoming younger. It had a few decent moments but other than that, yawner.

I love Meet Joe Black. Fantastic movie, IMHO. Even better soundtrack.

As far as Benjamin Button goes, it was a decent flick. It sorta reminded me of Forrest Gump in reverse. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, I guess.

First time I saw the movie I had to rewind the "car" scene at least 5 times. And then watch it in slow motion. Easily worth the price for that scene alone.

But, throw in Claire "Holy crap she's hot" Forlani and actually a really cool story and you've got a good (albeit very long) movie.
