Anyone else reminded of that scene from "Clean Slate" in which Dana Carvey's character is trying to figure out his dog's name?

He's a lab-golden retriever mix, with a little chow in him too.

I got him from a rescue shelter, he's about 7 months old. His name is Teddy, but I don't much like it. I think I'm going to change it. Any ideas for a new name?

My childhood dog looked very much like yours. We named him Midas after King Midas and the golden touch because of his color.
Awesome name for a dog.

I vote for a combo name like "Dingo Dog" or "Dusty Dog". That way you can shorten it to either Dingo/Dusty or Dog, depending on your mood at the time.

I like Scamp.

Bandit's cool, too, especially if you put a bandana around his neck.

I like it, but its not a good name for a dog, as there is no way to say that name clearly and with authority.

I still haven't decided yet, but I do appreciate the suggestions.

I've thought about naming him Wash, as he's got reddish/blondish hair and is a fun loving goofy dog.

I'm told he responds well to Turkeyhead, but I don't know about that name :p

No. With 2 'e's, he's got to mean Leeroy Jenkins

I think I'm leaning towards Elias. Named after a character from the Wheel of Time series (he's the guy who can talk to wolves).

Are you intentionally deviating from the Elyas spelling, then?
