Oh yeah, I bet those two boys were very "troubled"...

A mother of two boys reported a topless sunbather to police, because the way she applied suntan lotion was "troubling" her sons. The 26-year-old sunbather, identified only as Luisa under Italian privacy laws, was questioned by officers, who opened an obscenity investigation. The mother had initially asked the woman, an assistant in a fashion store, to cover herself up as her "ample" breasts and the act of rubbing suncream on her body had disturbed the boys, aged 12 and 14, she said. The sunbather, who was on a public beach at Anzio, south of Rome, refused. When police arrived, she remonstrated with them, still unclothed, to the amusement of holidaymakers. Yesterday, Gianluca Arrighi, the sunbather's lawyer, said: "Something like this happening in 2010 is absurd. My client was approached and asked to cover up by the woman and she simply asked her what her problem was.

Sensuous

"From there, the woman gathered up her children and went and complained to police, bringing the officers to the scene, where Luisa was still on the beach sunbathing. "Let's be clear, my client is tall, brunette and has an ample breast and is, therefore, naturally going to be sensuous when she applies cream to her chest. "This may well have attracted the attention of the woman's two sons but it should not lead to my client being convicted." Topless sunbathing has fallen out of fashion in recent years. In both France and Italy, far fewer women abandon their bikini tops on the beach. A police spokesman said: "A patrol was stopped by a mother of two sons who was angry at a topless sunbather and the way she was applying suntan cream. "She told us that she had asked the woman to cover herself up because her young sons had been admiring the sunbather and they had been troubled by what she was doing." We have opened a file on committing an obscene act. "From what I heard she was very attractive," the police spokesman added.

Isn't this the part where we say, "Pics or it didn't happen?"

No, pics wouldn't sufficiently capture the essence of the alleged offense. In order to judge whether or not the act of applying suncream was "obscene", video needs to be presented.

That said, I'm inclined to suggest the case be dropped and the mother advised to tell her children not to look at topless women if it "troubles" them.

The woman was on a beach, sunbathing. It's not like she was at the YMCA or something.
How hard would it have been for the mother to just take the boys to a different beach, or at least far enough away that they were out of sight of the sunbather?

Oh good grief.
An article mentions "sensous" and "ample" and boobies and look.....most of you are highly articulate and well educated and you can't even put a coherent sentence together anymore.

I've watched enough porn that this thread really doesn't faze me. Did she have a baseball bat in her ***? If not, I don't see what the problem was.

Hey, don't try to make sensuous look less strange with your "modern" spelling methods. ;)

Nah, it was staring at the word sensuous repeatedly that sent my brain into sleep mode. I've got a Calabrian brunette who has ample breasts at home who has fully inoculated me from such descriptors.

Sadly if I were to sunbathe topless in my own back yard, or even walk around topless in my home without completely blocking all the windows, I could be charged with indecent exposure. I wouldn't even have to apply lotion in a sensual manner.

Yup, maybe one day other countries will stop laughing and making fun of our stunted sexuality in the US. Probably not in our lifetime though.

Ample is always a good descriptor for breast.

I'll echo the "pics or it didn't happen" sentiment expressed earlier.

One thing that wasn't made clear.

Is topless/nude sunbathing actually illegal on public beaches in that part of Italy?

If not, no case.

Getting a raging boner after seeing a busty Italian doesn't make you a troubled kid. It makes you a normal kid. Mom should be fined for wasting official's time.

I'm easily "troubled", but that's not necessarily a bad thing ;)

Go on lots of meds, it becomes easier to not be troubled by much. Lower my blood pressure, lower my troubled nature. of course I miss my troubled nature . . .

Yeah, TMI, so what.

I remember being 12. And I remember being 14. And in no way would I have found that scene "disturbing." Maybe if she looked like Mr. Garrison.

I believe the mother herself may have found the situation itself "disturbing" but I really doubt any heterosexual males of those ages would find it as such, in the slightest.
