Nah. I've played the game enough times to know it is all an act. Morrigan is Morrigan. You can't change her.

Show me, in the dialogue, where that's true. Because in my experiences, the shell can be broken through. She *hates* it, but it works.

Any given conversation shows her to be nothing more than a self serving manipulator. You were fooled by it. Don't beat yourself up over it. She is a master.

The golem DLC was frustrating for me. Between the golem team member and the rhino I felt like I couldn't move at all.

Yeah, they annoyed me, too. Also, the Golem was completely lifeless as a character. Basically just there as a heal/smash bot, which I suppose is the point, but still lackluster in terms of immersion. I had a lot of trouble with the final boss, but eventually figured out a decent strategy.

I found myself micromanaging a *lot* more with the Golem DLC in terms of combat.

I just ignored the followers in this last DLC and killed everything with my controller-type mage. I didn't care for any of the three followers

I was confused about the "Golem DLC." I figured you were discussing the DLC that adds Shale. I haven't seen this new DLC.

"The Golems of Amgarrak" or however you spell it. It's a short, cheap little adventure that was released last week.

My main character is a Rogue (Duelist/Assasin/Shadow). In retrospect a mage would probably have performed a lot better. But I like my rogue. :)

You wind up with a dwarf rogue, a dwarf tank, a golem that heals and tosses lighting, and whatever your main character is. The adventure is billed as highly challenging, and I managed to wipe several times in the course of running it. So, if you want a challenge with a moderately interesting plot, it's worth the 5 bucks.

Neat. Maybe around Thanksgiving I'll queue up the DLC's to keep myself occupied. Maybe the distaste I finished the game with will be gone.

The screenshots show a mabari. If Dog is in this DLC, it will be the best DLC ever created. Also, I hope I get to murder Morrigan.

Meh. I never use Dog (or "Caynign," as I named him). Or Sten. Or the dwarf.

Dog is by far the best written NPC in the game. Followed closely by Shale.

EDIT:
But I will say the writers dropped the ball with Dog in the Fade dream. It had the potential to be the best out of all of them, but it ended up being the worst.

Most DLC for the PS3 is on at 3.99 UK - Shale seems to be 11.99. Is it really worth that? It's almost a full game price.

(Friend gave me his copy - he decided he didnt like it on PS3 and got PC instead)

It really is. If you played Knights of the Old Republic, think about playing that game without HK-47. That's what playing Dragon Age without Shale would be like.

Witch Hunt raises as many questions as it answers. Perhaps more. :(

And now I've finished. Wah.

Played a good, elf, mage. Ended up with Loghain dead as I figured Alistair was king and I couldnt start his reign overruling him in his first landsmeet.

So I had to die when the Archdemon needed killing.

Poop.

Played with stone prisoner, return to ostagar and wardens keep. I guess I'll try lelianas song now ;-p

You could have taken Morrigan up on her offer...

I prefer making Alistair rule with Anora and still have Loghain live every time I run through. ><

I have played through three times.

1st time (female Dalish Elf), Alistair ruled alone. Loghain died at Alistair's hand. Alistair gave Morrigan her child, so Warden survived.

2nd time (female Human Noble) Alistair ruled with my warden as the Queen Consort (and I kept Leliana on the side.) Loghain still died (but at my hand), Alistair still gave Morrigan her child, so no Wardens were harmed in the making of this ending. (Except Riordan, of course.)

3rd time (male Human Noble) Queen Anora kept the throne, I was King-Consort, Loghain died, Alistair became a drunken bum. I gave Morrigan her child, of course.
