Just curious, what do you drink during your relaxing time? Feel free to expound profusely.

Water, or good beer. Occasionally a nice single malt, but only rarely. Usually it's good beer and a glass of ice water as well.

Soft drink 95% of the time, but occasionally beer or a glass of wine. Alcohol is a crutch for happiness.

Water, home brewed iced tea, or a soft drink.

Depends if I'm home or out.

Coffee has never equated itself with relaxing in my mind, I'll replace blood with coffee for the ones who need to be caffeinated up to relax.

All drugs that affect the mind aren't worthwhile as a habit. However, perfectionism also isn't worthwhile as a habit.

Imperi, try to stay on topic. This thread is about relaxing with friends and how you choose to do so. I don't want to see every thread you participate in turn into a discussion on perfection and existentialism.

Regarding the topic:
How I choose to relax depends on who I'm with. For a couple friends, we'll meet at a local bar with some good beers. Others like to meet at a coffee shop and chat in person while we work on our laptops with some coffee. Others prefer to come over and play fighting games over some sodas.

I enjoy each.

Iced Tea (instant), Diet Pepsi, or water.

Rarely, if ever, do I drink alcohol.

Water. I love it.

When I'm not pregnant, every now and then (once a month, if that) half a glass of dessert wine is nice, or maybe a few sips of beer.
I'm not really into drinking, but the novelty that I can do it just because I'm an adult hasn't lost its appeal so I'll have a drink now and then even if I just take a couple of sips.

Soda. If it's really hot, ice cold water is pretty freaking awesome as well.

Water or beer mostly. I enjoy Vodka + Water + slice of lime sometimes when we're out at the bars, or staying in. It depends.

Water and/or iced tea are my everyday choices for beverage, but for relaxing with family and friends I prefer red wine or margaritas.

A good beer. Not a lot. I usually drink one or two beers with dinner. Very rarely I'll drink three. The last time I had more than three in an evening must have been about a decade ago.

Soda's my staple. It's my choice for meals and gaming, and most snacking. Good thing I switched to diet a year ago.

When I'm out having a drink, I steer clear of beer and head for the mixed drinks; various sours, rum & coke, some shots. Occasionally, some cheapish (but not swill) scotch or whatnot. I like hard ciders, but don't get to have them often because the only thing carried around here are hoppy crap. On holidays that I spend with my family, I'll often have a glass of the decent-to-good wines my step-father likes to treat himself to. Frequently merlots.

Good Beer or Good booze if it's evening, and especially when visiting, being visited, or out. Sometimes in the evening coffee is good in those situations with desert.

When it's just me and the wife, red wine is also a common choice, as is tea or any sort of other soft drink. During the day or morning, its definitely nonalcoholic.

Most of the time it is water. I only drink Dr. Pepper when I am at work or gaming. My in-laws though like to give me beer so I will say more than two words an hour.

Is that because you're really quiet, or because of the in-laws?

Midgen, all kinds of tea count as soft drinks, solely for the purpose of this poll.

This. Depending on weather, ice tea and coffee are also frequently turned-to options.
