Ok, having listened to the album a few dozen times now, I'm still not sure what the "best" song is, but "The Kingdom" is definitely a contender.

This video is amazing but a tad NSFW, albeit briefly and (I think) artistically.

No YouTube yet (the album just dropped Tuesday), but Ray LaMontagne's "Devil's in the Jukebox" off of his new album, God Willin' & the Creek Don't Rise.

You can listen to the song here.

Normally sweet-ass funk with a ska feel... but this one is just... musically different

Embedding is disabled on this one, unfortunately.

Tegan and Sara -- Call It Off

I have mixed feelings about most of their other music, but this is extremely catchy.

So one of my favourite CDs is Ludo's 'You're Awful, I Love You" with the lead song 'Love Me Dead', with the following brilliantly effed up video:

Looks like they've got a new CD coming out in a few weeks, and so there's a new messed up single and video for me to enjoy:

Mumford & Sons!

I just discovered these guys after listening to the local alternative radio station (what, radio station?! unfathomable!), and their entire debut album, Sigh No More is absolutely incredible. I'm pretty obsessed with it right now.

This is the lead single and current earworm for me right now, "Little Lion Man."

It's like the greatest era in rock n' roll has come back to us.

It's like putting up the horns... only the middle finger goes along for the ride.

Interesting. I'll have to add them to the queue of things to check out when I get some more time.

There's something familiar about them, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Vocally, the lead singer reminds me a bit of Colin Meloy (of the Decemberists), but I don't think that's quite it.

To contribute, Tom Waits - Chocolate Jesus:

Some of my favorite quotes re: Tom Waits:
Quote:
In my struggle to walk the straight ‘n narrow everyday, it doesn’t help things any that the salty, taunting voice of Tom Waits is in my head saying, “Hey kid…. over here."
