Pretty good list. Felt Bioshock should have at least been in the top 5 though. So should have Mass Effect 1.

This list renews my hope that Mass Effect 2 will get game of the year this year.

Meh. BIOSHOCK should have been number one and DRAGON AGE should have been on there (and well above OBLIVION).

Dragon Age is more of a PC game. The console versions are seriously lacking(having played both the PS3 and PC versions my self).

It's not "more" of a PC game than anything else. Also, irrelevant, as the gaming experience is fantastic on a console, and that's the article's supposed metric.

If we're going into irrational prejudice territory, I'll interject my belief that the sports games should be removed.

My list would be different...

This one had too much Halo and Call of Duty, not enough Lego Star Wars, Project Gotham, Force Unleashed, or Burnout Paradise.

Apparently, they did a PS3 list, too.

Here

Some head-scratchers in there for me. Never got into Bioshock or Oblivion, which were ranked. And GTA4 ranked so high? Also, God of War 3 is conspicuously absent, but then again, it's not that old of a game either (oh wait, I just saw the list post date -- GoW3 hit after the list).

I spent 10 times more time playing and replaying Oblivion than Mass Effect and Dragon Age..... combined. All great games, but to this day I am still wandering the world of Cyrodil.

I'm happy with ME2 getting the top spot.

Is the Left 4 Dead franchise as much fun as it appears to be?

Yes. But only if you play with 3 other friends.

Completely agree with the #1 spot. Everything else can switch around but ME2 is the best game of this generation.

Is it just me, or do "of all time" lists seem kind of weird when you're talking about a console that's been around for slightly less than 5 years?

Yeah, and interesting that the list changes almost completely every year.

As far as ME2 being top spot, I totally agree. Best 360 game yet IMO. Best game of gen across all platforms? I dunno about that.

Yea, it's like the 'best baseball player of all time' or best "Olympic athlete of all time'. You can't compare things now to past generations.

Technically the name is correct, since it's all time up to this point. However, I'm pretty sure it's just a marketing ploy to get more people to come to the site.

Regardless, It's inspired me to play through mass effect 2 again once I get a chance. :)
