I'd like to at least do Vox once. Like DE I never did her the first go round.

At 51 I now have Superior healing which is decent healing me at my low hps, not sure how impressive it would look healing Raz. I'll try to get Stoic sorted today too, drops permitting. I need to research AAs progression. There are so many more since I last looked.

Paladins and Bards can both get their epic drops from Gorenaire as well. The drops were added to them to stop the problem of level 53+ paladins during Kurnak not being able to do their epics.

Clerics werent changed because they didn't actually have to kill a level restricted mob, just sit.

Rane,

I've found that there isn't much worth actually buying in the level 51AA department, short of Run 1/2/3. Those are the only 3 I've spent so far. Most of the rest of the 51 AAs are stats bumps, which were rendered pointless by the max-stat nature of the defiant gear.

After spending 3 points on Run 1/2/3 I've been banking the rest for when some of the more usefull AA's open up at 55+.

except that you can fight him in one of the outdoor lava zones in Kunark now (wow, can't believe I've forgotten zone names) collect the four pearl shards IIRC, and he's not level restricted. I soloed him a couple of times for friends cleric epic

When we went through the first time, wasn't there a requirement to spend a certain number of AAs in the 51+ list before you could move on? Popular consensus seems to point to Run speed 3 and Regen 3 in the first batch before moving to mental clarity 3 and on to Canni 5 for shamen.

Skyfire Mountains? And I had completely forgotten about that route. I think we did that one time for a friend.

What are you talking about. I've seen your corpses (Uinan) all over Norrath. I assumed you were already in on this! :p

It's been a long time, but yes, I believe there was. That doesn't appear to be the case any longer though, and probably for the reasons I mentioned.

Ok, I'm going to give it a try. Back in March I took advantage of that deal for however many expansions it was for $3 but never did anything from it.

As soon as I figure out what exactly I need to download/install to play on the server I'll pop around.

Look in this thread for links to download the Station Launchpad, or, if you just plan on playing the standard EQ1, you download the EQ1 launchpad (I linked it later in this same thread).

viewtopic.php?f=30&t=4136

The guild is called "Rangers Glade" Almost everyone is an officer, and NephyrS and I both have alts in the Tutorial that can log in and tag you.

There are also lots of goodies in the guild bank you can peruse.

Any specific class the guild could use? I've primarily only played a Ranger but am open to filling out other roles if needed.

As has been pointed out, play what appeals to you. Mercs fill basic group roles in day-to-day play more than adequately.

Very much what Kaffis says. The merc mechanic makes playing west coast time so much easier than the first go round. Insta duo / group. No hanging out because your buddies-just-couldn't-keep-that-last-slot-open-any-longer-and-you-logged-in-3-mins-after-they-filled-it-again!

Speaking of Kaffis; Kyvas needs some love.

Alright. I forgot about a lot of the changes. I haven't subscribed to EQ since 10/05.

Yeah, I'm about to log in.

Potion Belt allows you to map a hotbutton to a potion out of your inventory.

Bandolier is similar allowing you to map weapon configurations to hotbuttons.

I'm still pretty vague on them myself except what Neph showed me about bandolier stuff.

I'll defer to him or someone else with more knowledge to give specifics...

Edit: I think Bandolier defaults to the "B" key. You can take a look at it and probably get an idea how it works. Potion belt is Shift-P (at least for me). Again, pretty simple to use this one (even I figured it out on my own :p )

Aye, with a bandolier you can save weapon setups (primary, secondary, range, ammo).

It can be useful for swapping in clicks, or for changing weapon types on the fly.

You can either swap using the bandolier window, or you can use the /bandolier activate *setname* command in a macro.

To make a bandolier set, you equip the set you want, click on an empty slot in the bandolier window, and create it.

You default to 2 potion belt slots, and 4 bandolier slots- you can add 2 more of each through AAs.

You can also get a 5th potion belt slot through equipping some high level belts.

I'm left feeling stupid this morning. I downloaded the station launcher, had it download Everquest in it's entirety, resubscribed, I do a full file scan etc. I tell it to launch the game and absolutely nothing happens. Grrr.

Uinan, check out page 2 of the Range's Glade Guild thread. I had some issues running it originally. Make sure to also install DX9 and to run station launcher and EQ as admin in a windows 7 system.
