Well, best one I've been to in person, at least.

Don't seem to be too many baseball fans here, but, if you are and know where I live, you know what I'm talking about. Last night's Game 2 of the LA-St. Louis NLDS was very exciting. Talk about sending 50,000 people home in a good mood. Even better, we didn't leave early, even though our son (4) was getting antsy and tired and wanted to go home. Good thing it was an early game (3:00 p.m. start).

This could be the Dodgers' year! A win like this sometimes convinces the players that fate is on their side, I think. That Big Dodger in the Sky was certainly smiling on them last night.

All because Holliday dropped an easy fly ball.

Pulling for the Dodgers. If their starting pitching does well, I think they can take it all. Good offense, good defense, and a stellar bullpen. Great game last night.

Hah, no wonder it was so quiet around here. Never quite noticed your location tag ...

Don't worry, I'm still worried about the Cards. Would like to wrap it up with the headhunter tomorrow, but, we'll see.

Looking very much like the Dodgers will be back competing for the NL championship again. Busch Stadium is the quietest I've ever seen that many people.

Hope to playing against you in LA soon Aethien. :p Though it appears your guys are gonna be quite well rested for the series...

Wow, the Dodgers were completely businesslike today.

I worry about getting too much rest, frankly. There's something to be said for keeping an edge in real-game conditions, I think. But, it's nice to know you're moving along, of course.

Hope it thaws in Denver before you guys t have to play a doubleheader or something to be able to start by Thursday. :)

2 things:

1) Bringing in Brad Lidge with a 1 run lead to close out the game put thousands upon thousands of Phillies fans in a very bad place. Charlie Manuel is lucky it worked out! And hopefully we're lucky enough to have seen Lidge walk two out of five batters to show that Lidge is still the Lidge of 2009.

2) Now that I found out the Rockies are calling this month/postseason Rocktober... I'm kinda wanting them to win! That name is too much win.

Games 3, 4, and 5 of the World Series will be in the NL city this year ... Hallowe'en in Denver? That's gonna be friggin' cold. Much nicer if they come to LA! :)

I'm glad they lost. Call me a hater (I am), but Cards fans are insufferable.

There is nothing worse than a Boston fan.

Everyone out here says that about Yankee and Sox fans. That's because none of them have been west of the Mississippi, or hell, even west of Ohio.

I'm sorry, dude...but Boston fans(in general) are just horrible. They act like they are owed everything and the one time they win, they act like they were the best team in the history of ever. You didn't see me in everyone's face when the Angels finally won, saying that they were the best and there was no doubt ever that they would have won. Yankee fans have the same attitude, but at least they have the history to back it up. I suppose I could narrow it down to just baseball, but the basketball fans can be just as bad. Don't see a lot from the Bruins fans and I have no idea if they even have a football team. Football is the sport I care the least about(well, there is soccer, but who the **** watches soccer?)

Raltar, The Patriots are Bostons football team.

I think if the B's won the cup again they would burn the town down.

Actually, they won the World Series twice.

New England Patriots are their football team. Might be kind of insufferable, I dunno.

Basically, every team has insufferable fans. Many folks hate Dodger fans ...

Our Patriot fans are the worst. I swear, I won't take my family anywhere near that stadium on a game day, and it's a shame. Drunkedness, drugs, cursing, and violence are the order of the day; and I can't see exposing a child in my care to that. It's like a bunch of damn soccer hooligans.

I have a soft spot for the Dodgers. They won me money back in high school. Some idiot gave the crazy girl that knows nothing about baseball 10:1 odds. He said LA had no hope of beating Oakland.

The day after game 1 when Kirk Gibson had that walk-off homerun with a cast on his broken foot, I knew I'd made some good money.
