I stopped at a bar recently, something I don't normally do but one of my coworkers was having her unofficial after work party there.

One of the ladies I know, not a coworker but a friend of the retiree and someone I bump into occasionally asked me why I had never asked her out. She had a couple drinks and was feeling a little brave I guess. It surprised me.

I told her I was tired of being everyone's friend and nobody's lover and didn't see that changing with her.

She's normally a chatterbox, she stopped dead in her tracks trying to figure out what I meant.

I didn't explain, finished my diet coke and left.

I haven't seen her since.

Thoughts?

It remains a possibility. Timing has never been my strong suit and when I say we occasionally run into each other, that is pretty much the only time I see her.

It also isn't as if she lights my fire. She's a nice lady, but I don't really feel a spark. We'll see what happens, she will probably be at work's Halloween get together.

Good luck Micheal. But I would not expect her to be that brave twice. She is likely awaiting your move, if any, at this point.

To put it in perspective though, if you do ask her out then there is a chance you may hit it off and a chance you may not. If you don't ever ask her out, there is a 100% chance of you and her not hitting it off.
