A good Monte Cristo is a joy to behold. I'm actually rather torn between that and a Reuben for my favorite sandwich, but I think the Reuben wins.

I've only seen the Monte Cristo at Bennigans, which comes with powdered sugar and raspberry jam on the side (or used to, I think they went out of business).
Before that, school cafeterias had me thinking it was merely a ham, turkey and swiss sandwich on texas toast.
