So what physical things do people notice about others that attract you? What sorts of people do you tend to notice in a crowd? Male or female what catches your eye?


I notice my eyes lock on women wearing white, particularly white shirts.
I don't normally look at women with curly hair, in fact I have never dated anyone who wears their hair curly. (perhaps it reminds me too much of my mother)
I tend to pick men out of a crowd with gray hair (salt and pepper)
I tend to notice but not focus in bright reds and yellows as well but I don't lock the way I do on white.

Personality. I don't notice people in crowds (miss the trees for the forest).

Women - hips/shape, eyes, facial expressions.

Dudes - the women they are with.

Eyebrows. Weird, I know. Hips (wow, I thought I was really off-the-wall on that one, too), eye shape, facial shape/structure, hair color/straightness. All are things that catch my eye for women. Not all of them have strict preferences (like hair color. I don't "prefer blondes" or "go for redheads" or whatever). Just things I tend to see and go "wow, that works for her."

For guys, what stands out in a crowd are mostly height related. Tall people, obviously, stick out in crowds for me, and I notice short guys in small groups. I also tend to kind of file people away in "tall, about my height (which is pretty average, and this range is probably an inch or two either way unless I spend a lot of time around them), and wowshort" when it comes to guys. It doesn't really matter to me (it's not like I hate short people, or I'm sizing everybody up for a fight), but it's just something I'm aware of for no reason.

Women:

Red hair (I am ALWAYS on the lookout for red hair. One of my favorite things about the Glade is the number of lady redheads we have!)
Light skin, especially when matched with red hair
Freckles
Height - I like taller girls. This is one of my wife's best features, IMO. She's 5'7", which is not huge but hardly short for a woman either.
Athleticism - I love athletic girls. Not just ones that dress up in jogging clothes; I mean girls that pull their hair back and look like they're ready to go play basketball.
Pony tails - dunno why, but I think they're super cute
Smiles - I like girls to smile. I like men to smile too, but I can't stand women who think pouting or acting like a snot makes them more attractive. I'm already taken, and just looking, so looking unfriendly is a major turn-off

Men:
I'm almost always evaluating their overall body type; their health and physical capabilities. What really catches my eye is a guy that looks ripped, but also looks like he has a lot of cardio endurance and flexibility; i.e. not musclebound. These guys I mark as professional athletes, or involved in something having to do with fighting, whether as a sport or otherwise.
I also look for tattoos

Female attraction qualifiers:
Boobs. Good teeth. Ability to hold an impartial conversation on a controversial subject.

Male impressions:
I generally categorize males into two categories: normal and douche. I don't have set guidelines.

In a crowd:
Bright colors.

Confident but humble, extra points if you're a gentleman. Nothing worse than the over confidence you get with loads of alcohol... if I can smell the last thing you drank when you're trying to talk to me, I'm not interested.

I find man who can stand up properly a turn on, most men slouch or have the try hard stance. Which is why I have a thing for men in uniform...

The ability to flirt with their eyes... I've fallen for a guy just cause he winked at me across the room...

ummm... decent dresser. Someone who dress according to the occasion.

Guys - blue eyes, sense of humor, patience of Job, someone who likes to talk, someone who is confident, motivated. All things that catch my attention and interest.

Girls - Red hair ( always wished I had red hair). Athletic.
