I hadn't heard of this until it popped up on my Netflix recommended list. I had seen it on there before, but I skipped over it thinking it was the Stargate: Continuum movie.

I watched the pilot and two episodes last night, and despite some awkwardness in the writing/plot, I think I'm going to watch a few more and see where it goes.

Has anyone else seen this?

I really enjoyed this one, blew through the first season and looking forward to them releasing the second.

I also found this on my suggested list after watching Alphas and Fringe. Blew through the first season a few months back, the second season within a week of them telling me it was available, and am looking forward to more.

Ah, and it looks like I've watched them all too. Didn't realize the seasons were so short, for some reason when I look at the listing on Netflix it only says "10 episodes available". So to update, really looking forward to the THIRD season now. :)

So, my brother calls me up to tell me about a show he's watching the pilot for on Netflix streaming. I think it was called "Continuum" or something. Anyways, he's describing it as a show with a future cop who goes back in time to chase time travelling future terrorists who dodged their death row sentence and are planning on screwing up the timeline. All their future technology still works in the present day. So one of the terrorists gets caught pretty early into the episode, and future cop gives him some truth serum, before having to flee the scene because the Canadian cops show up.

At this point, I have to interrupt him. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. So you had me fine with future cops, time travelling terrorists, working super-tech out of time, and even truth serum. But the terrorists are going to screw up the timeline by doing something in Canada? Now you've destroyed my suspension of disbelief."


I never did look for a new season, I should go do that. It used its non-time travel scifi elements charmingly; I liked a lot of Kiera's tech.

There are two (short) seasons on Netflix right now. I've read several indications that Season 3 is happening, but I have no idea how many episodes (hopefully more than 12)....

I'm really liking a lot of things about this, but with all of the crazy tech and time travel, there are sooo many ways to screw it up.

So far it's working really well..

According to my wife, who's really into it, season 3 is on track for next year. It's an interesting show. I'm kinda worried they're going to jump the shark by trying to go all crazy-intricate with all the future timeline players. Seems to me that season three is always where a show starts to take a weird turn.

Season 2 did a good job escalating without screaming to much up. I think they killed off Lea's character to soon; I hadn't realized how much I missed him as a questionable ally with unknown motives and the ultimate monkey wrench.

It's interesting to me that only two actors are listed for a 2014 episode on IMDB, though. Coupled with the way the Season 2 finale ended, it makes me curious about how they proceed, as..

The combination of Carlos and Alec doesn't strictly seem to fit either an alternate timeline reset (presumably instigated by Alec's attempt to save Emily) OR continuing the current timeline with Kiera and Liber8 members imprisoned by Freelancers.
