While I'm not happy to see anyone die, the press is being so damn delicate around this I have to keep asking - what was he doing that his fiancee wouldn't stop the truck to let him off?
They were having a dispute - another word for fight. She took off in the truck and he jumped on board, in the back from most of the reports. He fell off and sustained injuries that killed him.
The man had a history of fighting, was known for his temper, and everyone seems to be avoiding saying his fiancee was running away scared he was going to hurt her or worse, and she was afraid to stop the truck for fear the hitting would start again. She is not under arrest, she is not a suspect, she was most probably speeding away in self defense, fleeing his wrath.
But oh, gee. He was trying to put his temper and bad behavior behind him, now we'll never know if he could have straightened up and flown right.
We know, just no one wants to say it. He was beating on his woman again, may have been under the influence, and died from misadventure when he tried to stop her driving off.
Yes, I'm jumping to conclusions. I just want someone to clarify what the dispute was, why he was acting so stupid. I doubt it was Coke or Pepsi, cans or two-liter bottles they were discussing.
