It is the same crap you got with TBC and WotLK collector's Editions. Which is more than you got with the original Collector's Edition(well, at least until later when you got all of the CE pets. When they first released the game, you had to choose which pet you wanted, you didn't get all three). The original CE didn't have the mousepad(lol) or the cards(which gives you another opportunity for loot cards). Pretty standard stuff for CEs.

The mousepads are ok. But I love my cloth map from the original CE. I like cloth maps. They tend to outlast any mousepad when it comes to displaying in my house.

For what it's worth, whelps have been the CE pet for every WoW expansion. It's pretty much tradition.

You can certainly dislike that tradition, I suppose, but it shouldn't be surprising at this point. :p

December 7th.

Cataclysm Release Date - December 7th
Season 9 starts on December 14th, a blue post stated that Cataclysm would be released one week earlier.

+ARENA_MASTER_NO_SEASON_TEXT = "Arena battles and Rated Battlegrounds are only available during an active player versus player combat season. Season nine will begin on December 14th, so be prepared at that time to take your shot at glory!";

I was pretty excited when WotLK was coming out.........maybe I'm alone, but I'm not feeling that with Cata. In fact, quite the opposite. I really am lackluster about the whole thing, and all the changes they are making.

I fear there to be much fubar, long downtimes, patches, fixes, lag, etc. And to think I will have to learn so much about the classes I've played, like the hunter. Seems like doing homework instead of recess. I'm all about recess.

I was pretty blah about WotLK coming out, Cataclysm actually has me interested in coming back and excited about some changes being made.

This.

I'm looking forward to new content, but I'm not quite so enthused about a lot of the changes they're making.

Tried out some of my characters after all the changes........and maybe it's just because everything is new and alien, but so far it feels like having epilepsy in a room with a strobe light.

Everything feels so hurky-jerky. And for some reason, now I'm getting motion sickness when riding/running around.

Also, my fps took a major hit, and the new water (as nice as it looks) is very hard on my old video card. (having to ship the new one in to be fixed/replaced).

My negative view thus far in limited testing time, is the class models seem to have been even more watered down, with fewer ways to individualize from everyone else. Cramming all those levels into just half the talents means there is little wiggle room. Before you at least had the option of moving a few points around (even though it seems most cookie-cuttered).....now it's more like point A------->B, with little choice in between.

Trying to digest the mechanics, the new stats systems, the lack of what was removed, the new seemingly combined spells/hits/talents......yeesh. This is giving me a headache.

you can queue up attacks, but it seems to be random to me on which ones it will let you queue, etc.

People who have spammy habits of pounding keys are having the most problem, as it will queue up something that they didn't intend and they can't change their mind at the last millisecond.

There's supposed to be a fix to it. The main problem is that its not allowing an override of abilities that you press after the fact.

But we don't know when that's going to be.

What's odd for me is that it seems to only queue certain skills at certain times. It's been very unpredictable for me. The easiest way to get around it now it just don't spam keys. Focus on doing a single key press each GCD.

Playing as a feral Druid disabused me of button spamming quite thoroughly. :(

Hate wasting those Clearcasting procs on stupid stuff!

I know it doesn't really matter with the expansion coming out, but I'm getting a kick out of being able to be a Prot paly farming heroics and not needing a healer what so ever. LOL

It's been a good 2 weeks for me in WoW!

Spoiler:
Image

Finished Val'anyr after some 19 months of farming. Friggin' farming was impossible if you weren't killing Yogg each week. :p

Tonight we finally wrangled people together with gear for Herald of the Titans and finished that too! Good times were had by all, especially as it was somehow a server first. I guess the farming of gear is harder than it seemed.

Anyone else do/doing any random fun stuff with only a few weeks left of WotLK and raiding progression becoming a nonissue for most guilds?
