Never really done this before, but figured it might be good to make a plan for dinners/meals for the week and try making some stuff I've been thinking of for a while.

Last night: Gnocchi, chicken and mushroom cream soup with celery, onions and rosemary. Butter wafer cookies. Was pretty good and really filling. The pot ended up being enough for dinner, lunch today and probably another round of dinner or lunch both of us.

Tonight: Ginger/soy sauce chicken. Broccoli slaw with asian dressing. Steamed dumplings in sauce. Left over caramel cupcake. Not sure how this will turn out but seems like a good idea. Maybe a little more summer than fall, but meh. Smells good at least.

Tomorrow: Steaks, brussel sprouts, red potatoes. Not much of an experiment, but I'm trying a new made from scratch steak sauce, so we'll see how it compares to store brands.

Thurs: Shrimp and peppers stir fry with mushrooms over rice. Possibly using left over steak sauce if it's any good. Otherwise I'll use the ginger sauce from tonight.

Fri: Parmesan chicken over spinach noodles. Ok, not an experiment at all, but the one thing I really make well is pasta sauce and we've got a lot of breaded chicken.

Sat: Strawberry muffin breakfast. Eating all the left overs. :D

Brussel sprouts? Really?

I can't even think about them without wanting to get ill.

It isn't always about butter (most of the time it is, admittedly)

Roasted Brussel Sprouts, this is a base recipe you can add things to as you like. I like pine nuts and a little garlic, sauteed onions are nice too.
