It's broke - twice

Quote:
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- To give you a heads-up on the story I just filed to our news desk: Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre has two fractures in his left ankle and his status for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots is uncertain.

Favre, 41, has an avulsion fracture in his heel as well as a stress fracture. Coach Brad Childress said: "Once he's functional he can play. ... I wouldn't rule anything out in terms of the end of the week. I don't really have a time framework on it."

Favre has played with any number of injuries in compiling a streak of 291 consecutive games, including a broken thumb. But there really is no precedent for knowing whether he can heal quickly enough to play with these injuries. Whether Childress wants him to will be the topic of our next post. Stay tuned.

Can I get 8 points from Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs in the second half? They got 9 in the first :)

They were responsible for my first Fantasy loss this year.

I played Hasselbeck against the Raiders after a decent showing against AZ.... instead of Brees against Pittsburgh after a dismal showing against the BROWNS FFS.

Hasselbeck put up 4... Brees? 20. My margin of loss? 11.

/sigh.

By having an entirely 3rd string Offensive line, busted up secondary, and down a WR or two.

You guys need to dump Hasselbum and draft an O-Line and RB.

We *have* a decent O-Line. When they're not hurt.

And as much as I like Hasselbeck, I think his time has passed. Sadly.

For RBs though. That's a factor of the O-Line. Forsett and Lynch are actually pretty damn good.

O-Line has to come first. Doesn't matter who your quarterback is if he's taking a beating every snap.

What line do you want, one that excels at pass protection or run blocking? From what I've seen they don't seem to be very good at either.

When has Marshawn Lynch ever put up good numbers? Forsett I just haven't seen enough of to evaluate.

Many of us here in in Chicago are now screaming that, and demanding that GM Jerry Angelo be fired, who by the way I believe has dedicated the least number of draft picks towards the offensive line in the past like 7 years across the entire league. Not to mention, we have a group of mediocre receivers, a QB in Jay Cutler who has the natural skill, but still displays very bad decision making and poor mechanics, and an under-utilized running game - especially Chester Taylor - because of Mike Martz's ideology.

I have a feeling that Buffalo is going to upset you guys this week =/

I have a feeling that it won't really be an upset, even though on paper most will consider it that way. Buffalo barely lost to two good teams in a row, and now they get to play a completely overrated team.

I'm actually hoping that everything comes crashing down with the Bears, as odd as that might seem. I want massive change from the GM on down (I know better than to hope for a change in ownership). The fact that they have a good special teams and currently an above average defense (that won't last much longer by the way), that isn't enough to make up for a godawful offense.

Matt Forte is going to dominate Buffalo. We can't stop teams with poor to middling halfbacks in the running game, never mind a multi-skill world-beater like Forte, additionally we certainly can't defend him in pass coverage. Nor can we deal with good tight end play. Our offense is very good, but I don't know if we will be able to keep up with you.

Bears over the Bills, 33-24

That's where Brown's fans were two years ago. I think most of us are pretty good with the direction the team is heading in now.
