As Micheal said, it's just poorly done satire. No one's forcing anyone to do anything. Actually, I thank the invisible man in the sky that I most likely won't be alive when all the wonderful black gold under the earth finally runs out.

As Taly said, then they're satirizing themselves, which I find highly unlikely. The "wonderful black gold under the earth" isn't going to run out; it'll just become prohibitively expensive.

Right message (everyone needs to contribute) but really really shitty method of delivery.

Does the person pushing the button get credit for the removed carbon footprint of the people blown up? Or do they divide the carbon savings up to the people that get splattered by being in the area?

I figure taking out one person is easily a 10% reduction.... maybe more.
